À PROPOS

Paule Barry-Camu – Artist & Educator
Drawn to art since childhood, she began at F.A.C.E. in Montreal and spent summers at art camps, exploring her creativity from an early age. Her first professional experience was teaching acrylic painting to children at a community centre—a role that sparked her passion for guiding others to discover their own artistic voice.
She earned a Bachelor of Art Education from Concordia University and expanded her training with fine arts courses at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. During her final year of university, she taught art across various Montreal schools, and later completed a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Ottawa. Paule’s dedication to learning and teaching also took her to Europe and the USA, broadening her artistic perspective.
In 2010, she traveled to Honduras for an internship with Québec Sans Frontières, working on water conservation projects alongside local university students. Captivated by the country, she stayed to teach middle school art at the American School of Tegucigalpa for four years. There, she led numerous art-focused extracurricular projects and participated annually in the Empty Bowls initiative, an international movement where handmade bowls are sold to raise funds to fight hunger—supporting local children at a nearby orphanage.
Returning to Canada in 2014, Paule taught art from kindergarten to grade 10 in Lethbridge, Alberta. After five years and nearly a decade away from home, she returned to Montreal in 2019.
Paule’s mission is to help students learn, create, and believe in the artist they are. She strives to ensure that every student leaves her class with pride in their accomplishments, lasting memories of discovery, and a deeper appreciation for the world of art.
